About the Youth Funding Learning Network (YFLN)

<aside> 💭 The Youth Funding Learning Network is a Network for every organisation that has received funding through the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund. It’s an optional resource for you as grantees, where you can access a range of support from your peers, and from Kate and Julia, the facilitators of the Network. There are over 120 organisations within the network, with more joining all the time.

What to do if you’re new!

Access free coaching through the YFLN

As part of the YFLN learning and support offer, 1:1 coaching is available. You can access up to 3 sessions completely free and use them whenever you like.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a reflective space, where a coach helps you to think through your context and to help you gain more clarity on how to move forward. The job of a coach is to listen attentively and to ask effective questions to help you do your own thinking. In this way, it is different to mentoring where you might get advice or expertise. You can bring a range of topics to a coaching session, and at the start of the session the Coach will help you identify your goal for the session(s): where you’d like to get to by the end of the conversation.

Coaching might be for you if:

Who will you be coached by?

We have 3 coaches on the YFLN team, Kate and Julia, who run the network, and Girda, who is a collaborator we work with. All of us are trained coaches who coach regularly 1:1 and in groups. We know there is demand from within the YFLN from some people who want to work specifically with a coach who is a person of colour. We are keen to meet this need, and work closely with Girda to provide this support to the network.
